Crack of life

Trier, Germany - 2/08/2007

I was on my way to eventually fetch up my wages at my workplace and was lucky I brought my camera along that day, though actually, I was hoping for some "rain clouds vs. sun-lit building"-shots in Trier.
But when I left the hotel (where I work), rather upset because wages weren't there yet, the weather had gotten worse and I ended up with nothing but some depressing shots of a dead dragonfly on the pavement...

So, that's the story behind this shot. It sounds a bit too gloomy and just to ensure you: I am pretty fond of this picture and I like the dead dragonfly!
Usually, I tend to just walk by this little details of nature in our every day life, but this time... well, I was lucky to bring my camera along!
